Primatene helps with heavy breathing and any kind of dyspnea. Primatene is indicated at bronchial asthma to relieve cough and loosen phlegm and mucus, but only if the doctor make out a diagnosis of asthma. Sometimes your doctor may indicate Primatene also for other conditions.
Active components of Primatene are Ephedrine HCI, with dilating impact on bronchial tubes by relaxing bronchial muscle and Guaifenesin, with expectorating affect for the relief of asthma.

Taking Primatene:
You should strictly follow your doctor’s recommendation taking Primatene. Read carefully prescription and the drug label for exact instructions. You may take Primatene irrespectively of food intake, but with a full glass of water. Do not over a dosage. At accidental overdose immediately seek medical assistance.
If you skip a dose of Primatene, do not double your Primatene dosage, just go to the next dose and keep to your regular drug dose schedule.
Safety Instruction:
Please, be aware that some medication may interact with Primatene. Be careful if you taking any other drugs, or diet pills, or dietary supplements, or herbal preparation. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding a baby or if you had ever experienced any allergy to medications.
You should inform the doctor also if you had adrenal gland symptoms, cardiovascular diseases or high blood pressure, diabetes or stroke, glaucoma, seizures, enlarged prostate, or chronic cough.
Primatene side effects:
Sometimes any medication may cause serious or mild side effects. Visit your doctor if you have experienced any of the following side effects: fast or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, rash, nausea, weakness, nervousness, anxiety, heavy breathing, chest pain, swelling in the mouth, difficulty with urinating, high temperature, problems with sleeping, tremor or headache.
Probably, you will not observe any of above-mentioned side effects but will see another disturbance, see the doctor in such case. Also you are recommended to visit him if you don’t see any improvement and relief.
Prior to terminate your treatment by Primatene see your doctor, because a dose should be gradually decreased.
